Fresh Herb Basket

hen invited to a party, it is customary to bring a gift. I often get potted daisies that only stay fresh for a couple of weeks to die a sad death on the coffee table where they were not meant to bloom nor flourish. Instead I find a fresh herb basket is a useful and refreshing alternative. Not only does this basket have a million uses but it smells wonderful and looks pretty sitting on any kitchen counter.

What You'll Need:

  • Wicker Basket
  • Burlap
  • Pinking Shears
  • Potting soil

Assorted Herbs:

  • Mint
  • Lemon balm
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme

Directions:

1. Line your herb basket with a layer of burlap

2. Trim the excess with your pinking shears

3. Fill the basket with soil

4. Plant your herbs in the basket, the taller herbs towards the back.
