his project is slightly time consuming but the effect is super sweet when it's done. Framed in a bouquet of roses, the recipient of this present is sure to be blessed with good luck, rosy memories, and a pretty, new jewelry box.
What You'll Need:
Rose Wrapping Paper
Wooden Jewelry Box
Decoupage glue
Brush
Material for lining
Cardboard
Glue Gun
Round Mirror
Fake Flower
Leaves
Directions: 1. Take your wrapping paper and cut it up into pieces that are no bigger than 2.5 inches, preferably in the shape of the flowers that you're cutting around. The bigger, the more air bubble prone, and we want to avoid that.
2. Using a thin layer of decoupage glue or watered down white glue, brush a thin layer of glue onto your box then smooth your wrapping paper in overlapping pieces onto your box. If you've got a photo printed on paper, you can put this in the center of your lid.
3. Now for the inside: Take craft paint in a coordinating color and paint the inside lid.
4. Take your mirror and glue it to the inside lid of your box with hot glue, surrounding the edges with overlapping leaves.
5. Line the inside bottom with fabric by cutting out a piece of cardboard and covering each piece with fabric then gluing it to the side of the box that it corresponds to.
